The Finale area is one of the most beautiful and distinctive places in western Liguria.

Between the coastal towns of Finale Ligure, Finalpia, and Noli, and the inland villages of Orco and Feglino, a series of limestone plateaus rise up, supported by massive vertical cliffs and separated by deep, narrow valleys.

Although the tops of these plateaus rarely exceed 400 meters in elevation, the landscape is wild and truly breathtaking.

  • SAN BERNARDINO

    Mountain bike ride Through Prehistory

The karst plateau of San Bernardino holds great archaeological significance: numerous artifacts have been found in its caves, providing evidence of human presence dating back to the Paleolithic era.

There are also several sites where ancient rock carvings can be observed—such as Ciappo delle Conche and Ciappo dei Ceci—as well as the megalithic enclosure of Camporotondo. This area features some of the most technical trails in the region, winding through dense forests rich in prehistoric remnants and sites steeped in millennia of history. The plateau is also a popular destination for climbing enthusiasts.

Among the unique features of this plateau is a little-known but truly fascinating citrus fruit: the arancio pernambucco.

The mountain bike trails of San Bernardino, Ruggetta or Dolmen offer a unique experience. It feels like stepping back to the Paleolithic era, where the trails are completely natural. With rocks, technical sections, and pure fun,

These trails are perfect for those seeking adventure and an authentic connection with nature. Whether you're navigating challenging rock passages or enjoying the thrill of the ride, this is an unforgettable experience for every mountain biking enthusiast.

  • LE MANIE

    Flow, adrenaline and Sea View

The Le Manie plateau is one of the most fascinating areas in Liguria from both a geological and scenic point of view.

Its network of trails has become a true paradise for mountain bikers from all over the world.

The edges of the plateau, especially those overlooking the bay of Varigotti, offer breathtaking views from the top of steep rocky cliffs—dramatically suspended above the sea.

Iconic trails like Briga and DH Men have become unmissable destinations for mountain bikers from around the globe.

These fast and technical lines carve their way through Mediterranean vegetation, natural rock gardens, and forest sections, all while offering jaw-dropping views of the Ligurian Sea.

Riding here is more than just a trail experience—it's a blend of adrenaline, flow, and scenery that will leave you breathless, both from the ride and the view.

  • CAPRAZOPPA

    From small village to wilderness

The westernmost plateau of the Finale area rises between Finale Ligure and Borgio Verezzi.

It is distinctly separated from the other plateaus by the deep valley of the Porra stream, which flows into the sea at Finale. The seaside section forms the Caprazoppa Promontory, while the inland area is known as the Orera Plateau.

Starting from the picturesque village of Verezzi, mountain bikers can dive straight into two of the most exciting trails in the area: Bondi and Xmen.

These trails offer a perfect mix of flow, rocky sections, and technical challenges, all framed by stunning views of the coastline.

Riding here means dropping in from ancient stone hamlets into wild, Mediterranean terrain—where every turn reveals a new landscape and a fresh dose of adrenaline.

Practical Tips

🚴‍♂️ Recommended Bike:A full-suspension MTB is your best ally to tackle the technical sections, rocky terrain, and natural passages found on these trails. Sturdy tires and good suspension travel are essential.

📍 Skill Level:Trails like Ruggetta and Dolmen require solid riding skills and decent fitness. They’re best suited for intermediate to advanced riders. If you’re less experienced, hiring a local guide is highly recommended—they can tailor the ride to the group’s level and ensure everyone has a great time.

📅 Best Time to Ride:This area can be explored year-round, but spring and autumn offer the best conditions: ideal temperatures, minimal dust, and stunning colors in the forest.

🧭 Navigation Tips:Many trails aren’t clearly marked and often crisscross with ancient walking paths. It’s easy to get lost... unless you ride with someone who knows every rock and corner of this terrain 😉.
